As many may know, Steve Sagaden is heavily involved in the soccer community throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. This past summer, Steve traveled to Brazil with a team of young men from a wide range of backgrounds and life circumstances. Two players faced significant financial challenges that nearly prevented them from attending.
With support from HSA and several other companies, the tuition needed for these young men to travel to Brazil was covered—ensuring they didn’t miss this incredible opportunity to compete against some of the highest-level players in Brazil for their age group.
Earlier this year, HSA helped open doors for these two young athletes by supporting this experience. These young men are actively receiving interest to play at the next level and owe much of that attention to coaches being drawn to the experience they shared—competing against some of the highest-level players in Brazil for their age.
These young athletes and their families are deeply grateful for the opportunity, and the best part? They’ve shared that they hope to one day work hard enough to pay it forward.
Sometimes, it’s the little things that open doors to much bigger opportunities.
