Jimmy Kane
Jimmy completed a five-year plumbing apprenticeship through the Chicago-Journeyman Plumbers’ Local 130 United Association. He also has a City of Chicago Plumbing License. Having worked in the plumbing industry for more than 10 years, Jimmy has completed residential and commercial service work, rehabilitation projects, and new construction from the ground up. He has also taught part-time for Journeyman Plumbers’ Local 130 apprenticeship program.
Nick Soristo
Nick has more than 15 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He has completed his apprenticeship with theChicago Journeymen Plumbers’ Local Union 130 United Association (UA) and has a city of Chicago plumbing license. Additionally, Nick is a licensed Cross Connection Control Device Inspector with the state of Illinois (CCCDI) and is a UA Certified Instructor. Aside from plumbing system service, repair, and installation experience, Nick has an extensive background in steam and hydronic heating equipment.
Derek Vaughn
Derek, having worked in the plumbing industry for over 15 years specializing in plumbing and hydronics, completed a five-year plumbing apprenticeship through the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers’ Local Union 130 United Association (UA), and he has completed A.S. Industrial Training through Washtenaw Community College. Derek, who has his Plumbing License in the city of Chicago, has earned several ASSE certifications, is a Certified Plumbing Design Technician through the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and is a UA Certified Instructor.
Hot Water Technical Solutions Training
HSA staff, all with more than a decade of plumbing industry experience, have completed a five-year plumbing apprenticeship through the Chicago-Journeyman Plumbers’ Local 130 United Association. All are experienced instructors, as they offer education and support on hot water activities, ensuring the proper product is utilized and installed correctly.
With the creation of the Distribution Business Development Manager position, HSA has created a strategic role designed to strengthen client relationships and ensure our distribution partners have the tools and knowledge to thrive. Tara will conduct Wisconsin customer training, while Penny will oversee Illinois and Northwest Indiana client training.
The training will educate distribution partners, enhance their expertise, and foster confidence in promoting the products HSA represents.

Milwaukee Tool Counter Days
With the introduction of the Milwaukee Tool product line to Illinois and Northwest Indiana customers, Derek Vaughn will lead the training on the wide selection of Milwaukee Tool products available. This will include hosting “Counter Days” at client locations and developing custom training programs for customers on specific products.
